Where Appalachian
heritage, folklore & craft
come together.
Celebrating the rich tapestry of mountain culture, traditional craftsmanship, living history, and timeless stories across the region.
THE CULTURAL HUB
Keeping Appalachian stories alive.
Appalachian Legends & Lore serves as a gathering place for makers, musicians, storytellers, and tradition keepers dedicated to preserving and sharing the creative soul of the mountains.
From deep-rooted folklore and living history demonstrations to hand-forged crafts and regional music, we honor the past while building a vibrant community for today. We connect, share daily updates, and chat about what's happening over on our social media page—come join the conversation there!
We also bring the community together in person with our signature gatherings held two times a year. Head over to our dedicated Foxfire Gathering page to check out the latest details, event schedules, and downloadable promotional flyers.

FEATURED MUSIC · APPALACHIAN HERITAGE
Sandra Parker: Ballads of the Mountains
Raised in Glade Spring, Virginia, Sandra Morefield Parker has spent years sharing traditional music throughout the region. Her love of old ballads from England, Scotland, and Ireland connects her performances to songs carried across the Atlantic and passed down through generations in Appalachia.
Accompanying her voice with the enchanting sound of the Celtic harp, Sandra brings these timeless stories to life, blending mountain heritage, music, and her fascination with Faerie lore.
